Course Policies

 

Attendance:  Class attendance is regarded as an obligation as well as a privilege, and all students are expected to attend regularly and punctually all classes in which they are enrolled. Attendance is 50% of the grade for this course. 

 

Withdrawal from Course:  Withdrawal (drop) from University Seminar 100 will NOT be permitted unless there are verifiable extenuating circumstances.  Mrs. Pamela Ford, Dean of Enrollment Management (Wyly Tower 1225) or Dr. Norm Pumphrey, Director of the Bulldog Achievement Resource Center (Wyly Tower 202) must approve a drop from this class.

Evaluation:  The grade earned in University Seminar will be based on percentage of total points earned.  Class attendance will be 50% of the grade.  The remaining 50% will be in the form of exams/quizzes, essays, journal entries, assignments, and/or other activities as determined by the instructor. 

 

Grading Scale:  The following grading scale will be used to determine letter grades:

90 – 100 (A)        80 – 89  (B)       70 – 79  (C)          60 – 69 (D)       below 60% (F)
